Alain BREAU : Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the “Grand Port Maritime” of ROUEN (GPM)

Mr Alain Bréau has been elected Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the GPM of ROUEN on February 6th 2009.

Since the reform of the French ports in 2008, the status of “Port Autonome” was changed into “Grand Port Maritime” for the main seaports.

France counts 7 GPM: Rouen, Dunkerque, Le Havre, Nantes/St Nazaire, La Rochelle, Bordeaux and Marseille/Fos.
The GPM is therefore a public structure in charge of the seaport management. A board of 3 members under control of the Supervisory Board runs this structure.

On February 6th, Mr Alain Bréau was elected Chairman of the Supervisory Board for the GPM of Rouen, composed of 17 members.
The mission of the Supervisory Board is to decide on the strategic development of the establishment and to control permanently its management.

ROUEN is ranked 5 among the French GPM, with a volume of 22,7 M tons in 2008.
